In the midst of life, vinyl record collections, stacks of snare drums, Fender amplifiers, vintage speakers and the cable mess that is our studio… We have somehow managed to plug the internet back in. Like a sweet classic vinyl surf record, we’re cleaning the surface dust and working on bringing you some more of that hi-fi vintage 1960’s stereophonic Surf Out goodness that only the likes of Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock could muster up.

Thanks to everyone who has been pushing us to ride this crazy wave! I don’t think we could have done this without you! It seriously took an entire year to record this, and along the way – everyone kept encouraging us. We really thought surf was long gone… But our family, friends and fans seem to say otherwise! Thank you.
Now go listen to the album! You can stream it, buy it, and download it here: https://surfout.bandcamp.com/album/the-album
Press Release
Ring in the new waves of surf! Get your sunglasses out… Put your Hawaiian shirts on and crank up the big wave surf tunes of Surf Out!
What started as a simple “Surfin Sunday” has now reverberated its way into the latest full length album release from Mt Pocono PA’s retro-sonic instrumental surf rock duo – Surf Out! Their new album features a 19 song surfadelic adventure, recorded & mastered through a vintage (Tascam 388) tape machine. Bringing to light a new, uniquely revived era in instrumental surf!
Inspired by the playfully retro tones of the Ventures, driven by the curiosity of Les Paul, add a few tenacious licks the likes of Gene Kruppa & Buddy Rich (and throw in a touch of comedy). This is surf on a whole other wave!
The Album takes you through 19 reverb drenched surf tracks and features Chris Brandon on Guitars and Dan Lavache on drums. Production & Recording was completed at La’Moo Studio in Tobyhanna PA using a (circa 1980) Tascam 388 7″ reel to reel recorder.
“We wanted the most authentic, warm, intense sound possible. Chris and I experimented a lot with different concepts. And in the end, it was the tape! We rebuilt the 388 and began to roll tape and the sound was just there. It’s vintage tone struck us! We hope you really enjoy the sounds on our album!”.. drummer D Lavache
Surf Out will be playing in support of their new release, beginning in May 2017 in the North East US and South Eastern US. For booking, schedule or further info, contact the band at http://SurfOutBand.com
