The vintage sounds of the surf duo (Surf Out!) ignited when Martin Guitar Co Luthier, Chris Brandon contacted drummer Dan Lavache on an idea to surf! Each week (on Surfin’ Sunday) they got together and wrote/recorded one new instrumental surf track. After 5 weeks, the first EP was complete as the newly formed duo took to the stage.
Fueled by the retro Surf sounds of the 50’s and 60’s! Adding a touch of Jazz, Punk, Rock’n Roll and Big Band. Playing on a standup Cocktail Kit and a Fender Jazz Master. Pile on the reverb… It’s Surf Out!
Releases
To date, Surf Out has released 3 different titles. Early 2015 brought the first EP, craftily titled “Name This”. In November 2015, the guys released their “Surfin Christmas” album via Craftsman Records, containing 6 Surf’ed Out Christmas tunes. As of March, the band has self released a Digital download of their latest 19 song album “Surf Out – The Album” with independent CD’s released in North America on May 5th, 2017.
Booking
The band resides in Mt Pocono PA (that’s in the North East PA area, really close to the border of New Jersey). Available for gig’s of all sorts, year round. The band is mobile and well traveled. Contact Us!
